This house is in Los Feliz, less than 10 minutes from the Griffith Observatory and the Greek Theatre, and close to the hiking trails that wind through Griffith Park. The Dresden, a restaurant and lounge that has been open since 1954, and other dining and shopping options are a 15-minute walk away, on Hillhurst and Vermont Avenues. Two Frank Lloyd Wright houses are also nearby: The Ennis House, a private residence, is a few blocks away, and the Aline Barnsdall Hollyhock House, open to the public, is a five-minute drive.
Hollywood is 10 minutes away; Burbank is a 15-minute drive; and downtown Los Angeles is 25 minutes away.

This building is on a quiet street in the Nob Hill neighborhood, with sweeping views of San Francisco Bay from its two one-bedroom units and garden views from the studio apartment. It is a few blocks from several grocery stores, including a Trader Joe's, and a number of wine and cocktail bars. The San Francisco Cable Car Museum, devoted to the city's transit history, is also nearby, as are the SF Masonic Auditorium, a popular live music venue, and the Pacific-Union Club, one of the state's oldest social clubs.
Driving to the East Bay takes about half an hour, depending on traffic, as does driving to San Francisco International Airport.

This house is within a short drive of several parks with hiking, biking and camping areas, including Mount Diablo State Park, where trails wind up to the top of the mountain, offering expansive views of the area. Las Trampas Wilderness Regional Preserve is also nearby, with a house that once belonged to the playwright Eugene O’Neill.
The shops and restaurants of Danville are about a 10-minute drive. Walnut Creek, which has several large hospital complexes, is a little farther away. Driving to San Jose takes about 50 minutes; Sacramento is a little less than a two-hour drive.
