Strictly 2021: Viewers distracted by singer's appearance 'Like giant toilet roll cover'
Strictly Come Dancing viewers tuned in to BBC One to see the results show on Sunday night. As well as revealing which celebrity would be leaving the competition, the show featured a performance from singer Griff. The pop star sang on the show ahead of the results, however many fans were distracted by her appearance.
The star donned a long yellow dress on the show, which concealed a platform she was standing on.
Viewers quickly took to Twitter to comment on the singer's unusual outfit, with some comparing her dress to a toilet roll cover.
@mr_chambers_ wrote: "Generic noise coming from girl on stilts wearing a giant toilet roll cover… #StrictlyComeDancing #SCD #Strictly."

@pmw1968 joked: "Has she got a toilet roll under there? #Strictly."
"Maybe she's got an enormous toilet roll under there. #Strictly," @the_questmaster said.
However, other viewers suggested Griff's yellow dress resembled something edible.

"Must be fruit and veg week on #Strictly, Griff dressed as a pineapple and Shirley as a courgette…" @MadameMinge posted.
"That reminds me, gotta buy some corn on the cob #strictly," @sdfpk joked.
Meanwhile, some viewers were more focused on Griff's singing as she performed her popular track One Night.
She sang the pop tune while two Strictly professionals danced in the iconic ballroom.

Viewers swiftly criticised Griff for her performance, with some suggesting her vocal skills weren't up to scratch.
"That Griff is a really bad singer. Forces every note out. #Strictly," @linannlum wrote.
@chatterbear commented: "Is it just me or does Griff sound really off and out of key/breath on #Strictly ? Probably just nerves, it's one of the biggest gigs on television!"

After Griff's performance, presenter Tess Daly revealed the results of the public vote, announcing that Nina Wadia was in the bottom two against Katie McGlynn.
After competing in the dreaded dance-off, the judges voted Nina and her partner Neil Jones out of the competition.
