I'm a gardening whizz

A GARDENING whizz has shown how she built a shaded cover for her hot garden on the cheap.

The TikTok user known as @nimprints took to the social media site to revealed that it only cost her £35 thanks to some B&Q bargains.

In a brief clip entitled ‘How I made the perfect shaded spot in our garden’ she explained she had wanted a "boho vibe" and "something that could double up as a rain shelter too".

First up, she said she bought some post holders from the store for just £8 each and then added some treated 45mm based timber posts.

She explained they had been purchased from Jewson for £5 each.

The nifty DIYer then secured the second post to the side of their fence with the sail attached to her house.

While she didn't mention where she got the sun shade from, they can be ordered on Amazon for only £9.

She said the sun shade can be lowered or raised according to the amount of shade needed.

The gardening whizz said it can also be used as a waterproof protector, if tilted at the right angle.

She added it can be taken down really quickly and it was easy to do.

The post clearly struck a chord with other TikTok users as it has already been viewed more than 10,000 times in only two days.

Elsewhere, TK Maxx shoppers have been getting excited about a summer garden set which is currently selling for £475 less than its normal price.

Brits have also been warned about nine invasive plants that spread as quickly as Japanese Knotweed.

A woman has shared how her husband transformed their garden into a Barbie-themed oasis, complete with a pink hot tub and matching parasols.
